We drove to a simple little pumpkin patch in Alabama

The base "library." Can you believe the base closed down the library? Well, this is it. It's open but YOU CAN'T BORROW THE BOOKS!  Maddening because we see so many good books.

Fall Festival 

Sean the ninja climbing up the tower. The guy running it told Sean only one person has ever made it up the right side. Sean slipped down many many times but finally made it!

Sean's first event with his new scout troop. He didn't know a soul, hadn't even attended one meeting and wanted to go to the "Spookaree" campout at the local scout camp.

Fall fun

We had another (unfruitful) open house yesterday so we took off for a farm. The weather really turned chilly the last few days so we had to bundle up. 

Cathleen is about "piggy" tall this year. 

Sean spent an hour talking with and learning from this woodcarver. It was a great accidental learning experience. The man was kind and patient and very knowledgeable about a subject Sean is rather interested in. Match made in heaven!
