Swimming and Pea's art

Since I don't update the blog consistently anymore, feel free to sign up for email updates by entering your email address on the left side of the blog where it says "Follow by email".

We bought season passes for the base pool. (Stinks that it's not free anymore AND we have to drive there.) There are closer pools but the kids have more fun at the Bolling pools so it's worth the drive. I am determined to make them more confident in the water. So far, so good. We've gone 5 times or so and I can already see a difference. This is the first summer in 8 years I don't have to hold a child in the water! I can actually swim (for a few seconds at least.)
Taking a break at the playground near the pool.

We spend half our time in this 2-3 foot pool and the other half in the big pool

Kieran is our most confident water baby yet. He hops right in and walks/hops/splashes around the pool the whole time.

Cathleen has been creating more art than I know what to do with! It's definitely a calming activity for her that she chooses to do multiple times a day. Our perpetual art table is working! Finally!

At the base splash park.

This was a 90 degree plus day. Perfect for splashing around in cold water.

Kieran (and all the kids) love going to Dr. Aguto's office to get their teeth cleaned.
