Piano!

Cathleen and Sean took two private piano lessons last month and then attended piano camp. They absolutely love going to Ms. Georgia's house. Ms. Georgia is a mother to 14 children and then we found out she homeschools too! Holy cow. It's more than I can fathom. Their kitchen table is 3 or 4 tables pushed together. I can't even imagine meal times there! Or how she manages to have a full-time piano studio on top of everything else. After one lesson, both Sean and Pea made huge strides! We only planned on giving them piano lessons this summer but since they love it so much, we might do it once or twice a month. So far, they've been practicing both violin and piano daily. Sean is already playing chords in the left hand with the melody in the right hand. Pea is fantastic at note names and keyboard placement of those names. She can read notes better than Sean! (Don't tell him that, though!)
You can see how much Sean loved piano camp! The last day was a pool party.

Ms. Georgia brought out a pair of swim shorts for Kieran to wear at the pool party. Isn't he scrumptious?! He's watching the camp kids jump on a wet soapy trampoline!

More fun during piano camp.

While his older siblings were at piano camp, Kieran and I enjoyed some time together. He called that cookie a puffin and the candies he called hamburgers for some reason!
