July 4th, Tree climbing, and archery

Finnian hanging out on a rainy 4th. The base had a big bash with a few decent bands and fun things for the kids.
All the loot they won at the 4th of July carnival games

Sean and his winnings

Fairfax County puts on some great free events. This was supervised tree climbing. Sean had gone once (different location) and loved it so Pea tried it out this day.

She was a natural, scooted right up.

There she is, up at the very top!

Kieran was not successful in going all the way up...fear got the best of him but I'm proud of him for trying!

Pictures of Sean have disappeared...

I signed Sean and Pea up for a Native American archery course. Sean helped Kieran have a try.

Taking a break after fired off some arrows.

Kieran and his buddy from across the street, Avery, at the archery class.

The kiddos at the Lyndon B Johnson Memorial Grove.
